SFT RULES
Note: For those of you relatively new to role-playing 'IC' is simply known as In Character.
(1)Incase you have not noticed the theme of this Role-playing forum for some absurd reason this is a Street Fighter and Tekken crossover so even if you do not know what they are simply Google it. The reason why I say Google it is because these are the two most popular fighting video games in existance and if you are unfamiliar to them...well then you’ll just have to do some hard research and catch up with the rest of us. With this said try and keep your characters somewhat in the realms of these two roleplaying themes.
We dont want to see inhuman like things such as flying without wings, or laying waste to huge buildings or causing massive craters with one attack.
(2)This is a forum for all advanced and beginner level Role- players. Proper spelling, grammar, and punctuations etc is a complete must. If you know you cannot write in this context then don’t post unless you wish to improve your abilities.
(3)This site is attempting to improve the skills and writing endurance of all Role-players so this means no one-liners, only multiple paragraphs.
Be detailed and descriptive but only to an extent. You do not want to make your post too descriptive then it ruins the flow of the post. Think of how your characters mind work, how their five senses are observing their surroundings and with that alone you will have longer and exciting post rather than short, to the point, boring and unacceptable post.
(4) Be neat with your post, there is no other way I can say this but be neat! Do not have post and character application where the paragraphs are bunched up together, please have them spaced out, neat and well organized.
(5) There are many different styles and ways to role-play and the main way we role-play here at SFT is in third person, past tense role-playing form. Please stick to this style of role-play while on this forum or suffer the consequences.
(6) In IC forum sections stay on topic and keep posts in proper categories and topics. Also, keep OOC comments to a minimum.
If you need to add some out-of-character information to the general public knowledge, try posting it in the same place where your most recent IC post is - avoid making new posts when it's not absolutely necessary. If it's information for just the people you're currently interacting with, send them a private message instead.
(7)NO METAGAMING! what is metagaming you ask, metagaming is the act of role-playing off of information that had not been leaked to your character. If the information is not available in the environment the character is in, or the character did not already receive this information beforehand in an IC manner, the character does not know it.
(8) Do not insult or harass others in a negative manner for things that they have done with their character. If someone calls your character a ‘retard’ IC, do not take it personally OOC.
This rule still applies when completely OOC, no flaming, insulting, discrimination and NO racism.
(9) God-moding or being over-powered is a absolute no-no. Anything along these lines will not be abided.
Many people have a problem with others saying “he dodges everything” or “she didn’t give me enough time to dodge the attack”. These things will not be tolerated whatsoever. No Forced Hits. No constant dodging although it can happen all the time but it has to be reasonable. Stronger characters can possibly dodge many attacks but still it is just bad role-playing to dodge everything since it takes away from the experience and fun of the scene.
Even if another players character is bound, chained, suffering from broken limbs and cannot walk or move you still have to attempt any action that is directed towards a player’s character. There is one exception to this rule. If you have permission from that player only then can you force an attack or action of some sort without an attempt.
(10)Have fun and enjoy all of the fun things that are available here at SFT.
(11)We have fun and rational staff members here at SFT so any member who disrespects staff in ANY way will be banned immediately.
What is any way? If a mod tells you something is wrong that is SFT related, whatever they tell you to do or fix DO NOT OPPOSE THEM, well only if you want to stay and role-play on the site. However if a mod seems to be treating you in an unfair manner you consult the main administrator. The head administrator, the creator of this forum will handle the situation between you and that mod. Lastly not knowing the rules does not mean you will be exempt from punishment if you break any of them. By joining SFT you have made the choice to automatically abide by our rules.
