Visual Age: Late 30's to early 40's
Gender: Male

Height: 5'7"
Weight: 65 kg
Optical Appearance:
Overall Appearance:
Appearing like a standard Asian Lei is of average height, standing at 5 five feet and 7 inches tall, with a wiry body that belies its strength he moves with a grace that is attributed only to those few who are called true warriors. His muscles are toned according to how he uses them, evenly distributed with no feature standing out in particular, something that allows him the perfect balance that he needs.
With black eyes and hair to match Lei would seem nondescript in Asia but elsewhere he had a tendency to stand out, the one feature that would best describe him would be his pony tail that he took care to keep in the best condition possible. Could you blame a man if he liked his hair?
Apparel/Armor:
Apparel A:
Being of an older generation of practitioners Lei still takes the time to don the traditional outfit of his family, a blue Chinese shirt that buttons up closer to the right side than the middle adorned by golden geometric designs. The sleeves taper off with folded white bands that seem to serve no practical purpose. A red silk belt is tied around his waist.
Alongside this he wears black pants that allow him the freedom of movement and what most people would call kung-fu shoes.
Apparel B:
As an officer and detective in the Hong Kong Police force Lei can't always wear the traditional outfit can he? With thins in mind he takes either a white or pink long sleeved shirt that he pairs up with brown or white corduroy pants respectively and suspenders to match, and being a detective he has to look more professional than most of the other officers without looking too stiff and how to solve it? Suspenders and a necktie. And that just about completes the wardrobe showcase.

Don't you hate it when you get wrong intel?
That thought screamed through his mind as he pushed his shoulder forward and grabbed one of the thug's legs and rolled forward forcing the thug's knee to his forehead, pulling his hamstring and taking him out of the fight. At least that was one less person shooting at him, he thought as he threw himself over a wall feet first, with both landing on a Mohawk haired thug providing him with enough leverage to kick himself backwards and somersault into a standing position, with just enough time to duck as a knife came lancing his way.
As soon as I find the guy who is responsible for this I'm making sure he gets suspended
A simple chop to the wrist deflected the trajectory, taking hold of the attacker's wrist Lei pulled the thug towards the pull and pushing with his other hand as soon as the living projectile passed.
I'm good
"Yikes" barely dodging as a bullet passed his way Lei didn't have much time to celebrate as he gritted his teeth, put his head down and sprinted for cover. He was forced to lie down however as a leg suddenly appeared in the way he was going through. Rolling forward to break his momentum Lei was able to look back and see who attacked him, an unknown face it was, probably a mercenary hired to protect the sortie. A man with a scar running down his chest, bandages wrapped around his arms and fists and oddly an eye patch.
Rolling backwards to dodge a punch, he pushed his leg out while in the middle of his roll, his heel hitting under the unknown attacker's forearm, pushing the fist upwards and taking enough momentum to push him back upright. Using the momentum Lei used it to twist downwards, his leg coming in to kick at his opponent's leg with enough force to knock him off balance, with this done Lei followed through using that same momentum to launch another spinning kick, he was surprised however to have it meet a fist on it's way in, with one foot up he raised his arms in the sky easily shifting into the Crane stance standing in perfect balance, Lei and his opponent staring into the other's eyes waiting for the other to make a move.
It was a decision that was made for them though. A report rang as a bullet nicked Lei's shoulder. Twisting with the force, Lei grabbed a rock and threw it into the air, kicking it into the direction of the shot and hitting the shooter smack in the forehead throwing him back. Not much time to savor it through as a flurry of punches came his way, moving his hands in front of him they Snaked in and out, parrying the punches, moving them aside and thrusting forward at lightning speed to counter. A few hits got in, momentarily pausing the attacker but it was a short-lived respite as a knee slammed into him, Lei had just enough time to react, throwing up his leg and jamming down his arm to trap the knee and stop it.
Then suddenly the attacker kicked and took off, gunfire covering what appeared to be an abrupt retreat.
"What's going on here?" thought Lei as he watched the scene.
There was more to this than it seemed, and being the detective that he was, Lei decided to follow it through.

A Warriors Spirit:
Name Of Martial arts:
Kung-fu/Wushu
- Zui Quan (Drunken Boxing)
- Five Forms
Fighting Art Appearance:
When using the Drunken Boxing stance Lei copies the movement of someone who is drunk, do not be fooled though as this is but a ruse. His feet and hands are in constant motion, forward and backward steps meant to disorient. Moves that appear to be weak are given force by the body's motions. Said form also includes lying down either face first or on his back giving the illusion of vulnerability while all the time being more agile than most of his opponents are even when standing up.
With forms that resemble five animals this is one of his more diverse styles. When in the Crane stance his arms are raised at a 45 degree angle with his hands pointed downwards and a leg help up with his knee pointing towards his opponent, moves and attacks in this form tend to be powerful linking blows that afford him an easier time parrying blows aimed for his lower section.
With his hands mimicking a cobra about to strike few words need to describe the Snake stance, designed to distract, parry and with strikes that seem to move at the speed of light few can match the Snake as it picks its way through an opponent's attacks.
Power overwhelming, that is the Dragon. Raining blows from above it is the embodiment of power, woe to he who fails to block these for such is their strength. His left arm angles upwards but bends slightly to meet with his right arm that is angled downwards to simulate the dragon's maw.
Sleek and compelling none can ignore the Panther, with attacks that assault from all angles it is nigh impossible to fully defend against this. His left arm is stretched out facing his enemy while his right arm is extended only until his left forearm with knuckles angled shaped like a paw.
The tiger, irresistible blows that tear the opponent apart when in this stance his arms are held out in front of him with his fingers curled up to form a claw with the palms facing his opponent.
Weapons:
None worth mentioning. Though as a police officer he carries a handgun of yet unknown make with him but as he has rarely been seen using it I don't see the point of using it yet.

Fighting Style:
More commonly known as Drunken Boxing, Zui Quan is an art that mixes agility with power. Feigning an image of being intoxicated its primary strength is it's ability to distract, feint, and toy with an opponent's mind. Qualities associated with this style are exceptional wrist strength and an uncanny ability to shift their center of gravity at will, something that with all the unorthodox positions that users get into is a necessity.
This style in itself is challenging for even the most experienced fighters, masters have found themselves shamed at being unable to cope with attacks from this art, spinning kicks that end abruptly with powerful chain attacks from fists powered by the full body's force.
But imagine, this art paired with Five Forms a style that derived it's movements from nature's most implacable creatures, the Crane, the Panther, the Dragon, the Snake and the Tiger. A flurry of attacks that matched with the acrobatic skills and shifting momentum of a Drunken Master presents blows from angles unimaginable, fists and feet seeming to appear from nowhere yet possess the power to knock out a grown man but with a speed that could knock a fly in mid flight just from the wind recoil.
A true virtuoso, a living embodiment of art.

Personality:
For someone of his reputation Lei is uncommonly laid back. Known as the "Super Cop" his name is spoken in reverent tones by the lords of the underworld for many an organization has he single-handedly brought down. But not all is fair in this person's life. To have lost a loved one, to someone he trusted the most, to have been brought down by the very people he worked with and to see one of those who had had an impact on him, lead a life contrary to their beliefs.
Not everything is as it appears with him, for behind what appears to be a bungling and comical facade is a sterling mind and a man of stoic resolution. Having trained and sparred with the master known as Wang Jinrei has given him an exposure to martial arts that few could even begin to reach, but for some reason instilled within him was a humility that could not begin to be fathomed. For even when the accolades and fame passed his way he let none of it reach to his head and kept on working.
He feels a strong sense of duty to the martial arts community, an emotion easily understood by those who have went through that baptismal of blood and pain, going as far as to personally track and take down Feng when he wreaked havoc all over Asia in his search for the God Fist Scrolls. Many owe their lives to him, though not all are grateful.
